Circusville (edit) actually has MORE than the album cut.
SO. this abridged version is not here merely because
a that. no sir. no. it's just that i like this edit more than the 17 minute album version
and not because its 13 minutes shorter, jmg was more performative on this take. He like, says more, entertaining and funny stuff.
I think about cutting out and re-arranging and splicing and copying and pasting his words in from here.... into the other longer album take.
but because I no longer have access to the source files, it'd be an exacting meticulous process I dunno if I posesse the patientce, and honestly SKILL (its been so long and I dont have any working DAWs right now) to do it ... so here it is. also.
lyrics
that's crazy stuff they're saying
what?
come back?
i dont understand i dont understand i dont understand i dont understand
/\ /\ /\
its this kind stuff (above) missing from the album version (the King Crawls, by the Mighty JSE) that I just love
Please forgive me:
2, 3, 4...
Here we go again / here we go again
the Circus is in town
I'm wet and I'm lonely and i'm so far down
please forgive this / please forgive this
It's not a message from the Past
Not a message that's ever gonna last
Parachutes don't open your body hits the ground
you're always dying in your dreams
you're always dying in your dreams
yes you are yes you are
you're always dying in your dreams
i dont understand
i dont understand
i dont understand
i dont understand
It's not a message from the Past
It's not a message that's ever gonna last
corruption and implosion
bodies fall to the ground
you're always dying in yer dreams [come back]
yes you are / yea you are
yer always dyin' in yer dreams
When the last sword is drawn
The devil's hand
Return from the ashes
The oily mechanic
The cremator
Killer party
Come and see
Mr. Freedom

*Circusville & Another Ice Age feature samples from AEGEA by William Patrick Corgan, used without permission, but hopefully 'cleared kindly' especially after he "borrowed" one of my bands' big show's mailing (postcards) design, dithered to B&W and then used it as his default profile picture on Facebook (it was the all seeing eye of Horace - you know the illuminati-tip-of-the-pyramid eye, but it was overlaid on a cupcake with a burning candle in it (it was our 10 year anniversary show!) It is said Artists Borrow but Great Artists Steal. If so both he and I are THE GREATEST! Still, I can't deny feeling flattered over the whole thing. :-)
