So I been playing Stumbleine at my live shows ever since I fronted my own band. I played it at a couple of solo shows and I played it at a couple of open mic nights. Jonathan Savino, is super talented and told me he would submit a cover, but I didn't wanna hound him for his version because one of my best friends (and former bandmate in A Black Tie Affair) Shey Weaver, had recently moved to Japan and he called dibs on Stumbleine. However, as plans are want to do- things changed.

I saw Michael Matteo posting some soundcloud links to his original tunes on a Smashing Pumpkins page (Pumpkinland?)
There was this demo called Starlight that I clicked on, mainly because I was hoping it would be a MUSE cover and I was blown away by this 1990s, UK dance vibe. It reminded me of New Order and the Happy Mondays and Depeche Mode and I just fell in love.

One night while having an allergy attack I stole the song and took too much benadryl. When I woke up in the morning I found this track.
Everyone says it shouldn't work, nor do they understand how it does.
The vocoder call and response "jukebox fuckup" verse is my favorite part.
